Steps

1. Be sure that it is a PCI card that you need.
2. Go to a retail store such as Best Buy or Micro Center.
3. Go to the Cards section and pick the PCI card you want (for example, USB 2.0 or Ethernet).
4. Purchase the PCI card. Now, go home.
5. Turn off and unplug your computer. Unscrew the case or pull the latch to open the computer's case.
6. Find an empty PCI card slot, unscrew it, remove the PCI card from its box, insert the PCI card in the slot carefully, and screw it back on.

Close the computer's case or screw on the computer's case.

 

 

     8.  Plug the computer in and turn it on.

     9.  Install drivers, if needed <you can use uniblue driver scanner>

 Warnings

• Wear an anti-static wrist band or touch a metal surface. Static electricity can damage the motherboard and/or the new PCI card.
• Do not install PCI cards on a laptop.
• Insert the PCI card with the gold pins down.
